Customer Service/Inside Sales:

Hamburg Overhead Door is Western New York's largest Garage Door Company.  We are seeking a full-time customer service/inside sales person to join our team.

The inside sales person will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers and create new customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones and type up sales estimates, service/installation work orders
  • Greet customers with a friendly personality and present a professional image at all times to customer and vendors
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
  • Show garage doors to customers in our showroom and use product and manufacture knowledge to match customer with product best suited for them
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns
  • Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Setup and maintain customer files
  • Work in a team environment to take care of our customers
  • Pull small parts from our warehouse for our walk in customers
  • Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Excellent Customer service skills and experience
  • Work Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and some Saturday’s 9a-12p
  • Work at local trade shows
  •  Prior sales experience
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to operate multiple line phone system
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
